Empowering you to fuel your body and reach your goals.

About Me

Hi, I’m Mikayla! I became a registered dietitian because while growing up, nutrition advice always felt so confusing and contradictory. Was it low carb? Low fat? How do you actually fuel for sports? I wanted real answers - not fads, not quick fixes. That search led me to study nutrition in college.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Brigham Young University. I completed my master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and my Dietetic Internship at Idaho State University.

My Philosophy

I believe nutrition should be practical and enjoyable. No guilt and no restriction of entire food groups (unless medically necessary). I work with research-based evidence to provide not only food related advice but also behavior change advice. Developing healthy habits and changing behavior can often be the most difficult and overlooked part of a health journey. I work with people and provide resources to help them develop healthy habits without ‘punishing’ themselves or creating an unhealthy relationship with food.

Outside of Work

I love mountain biking and lifting weights - I find movement keeps me grounded and energized (as most people do!) My husband and I work together on raising our family with a healthy relationship with food and a love for all food groups. Food is one of my greatest passions - cooking and sharing meals brings me a lot of joy.

Why work with a dietitian?

When it comes to nutrition advice, it’s important to work with a trusted expert. Registered dietitians (RD’s) are credentialed healthcare professionals with extensive education in medical nutrition therapy, disease management, and evidence-based nutrition counseling.

A dietitian doesn’t just give generic advice—we provide personalized guidance tailored to your unique health needs, lifestyle, and goals. Whether you’re looking to improve your overall well-being or need targeted support for a specific condition, I’m here to help.

How can I help you?
